What To Expect

What To Expect When You Call Us

Steve or Glenn will return your call promptly if we aren’t able to answer initially. At that point, we will schedule a mutually agreed upon time to look at your job. On the appointed day of your estimate, either Steve or Glenn will measure your windows/doors & discuss any options you would like to consider. We generally bring a window sample, as well as any pertinent literature. An average estimate takes about 45 minutes. If possible we will give you a ballpark estimate on the spot-- No pressure sales tactics.

As a general rule, you will receive your written estimate, along with a copy of the Manufacturers Warranty and a NYS Capital Improvement Form, within 3 business days after visiting your home. Should you agree to the terms of our contract, your signature is required along with the specified deposit amount. We always send out two copies of each estimate so the customer can return one signed copy and keep one for his/her records. Average jobs require 1/3 of the contract amount as a deposit. If need be, we will return to double check our field measurements. At this time, we will order your materials.

The average lead time for us to order, receive, deliver and install your windows/doors is four (4) weeks. If we are having material/products delivered to your residence, i.e. Bay/Bow Window/Large Doors, we will call you in advance. Once the products are all received and delivered, we should schedule installation within ten (10) business days.

Scheduling of your installation can sometimes be a challenge. Factors to consider are weather, product delivery dates, size and location of your job. Ninety (90) percent of all installed jobs are completed in one (1) day or less. Things to consider or prepare for the date of your installation should include, but are not limited to: removal of window treatments, taking down pictures or memorabilia, remove furniture away from windows, removal or caring for pets, make room in garage or breezeway areas for our crew to work. The less personal items we have to move always makes our job easier and less intrusive on the homeowner.

Upon completion of your installation, one of us will give you a demonstration on the proper use and care of your new products. Your home will be left as it was found, as we pride ourselves on a clean working environment both during and after your installation. The balance of your original contract amount is due upon completion of your installation.
